This event will be led by a local chef who will instruct participants on how to make Jollof Rice and Jerk Chicken, both African and Caribbean dishes respectively. The chef will provide us with a list of ingredients which we will notify participants to purchase in order to cook the dishes. The chef will lead a step by step tutorial over Zoom where participants will be able to follow along and interact with others in the event as well. The aim of this event is to use popular dishes to engage those who would like to celebrate black culture.
