A UAlberta MBA Student and member of the Black Graduate Student Association is launching PhatBar Bakery & Cafe, a new Black owned dessert cafe, and a walking distance from the UofA on 108 St and Whyte Ave. They are lining up the Grand Opening to coincide with the start of Black History Month

Their Grand Opening is the weekend of Feb 11. You can check them out on instagram @phatbarbakery. They are also committed to making sure fellow students have job opportunities with flexible hours so stay tuned for some positions opening up in the near future.
